Conspiracies of a Lady: When the Birds Come Down Dreaming

May 09, 2012

Despite the incessant rain and fog, there have been a few brief days of stillness and even a shy sun came out to greet us yesterday, before being chased away by more rain this morning. And in those brief moments of joy and perfection, when nature's beauty was more inebriating than any wine, the rape fields have managed to bloom into a cloud of yellow covering the hilly fields. And driving on narrow country roads, all I could wish for was to dive on that comfortable yellow blanket and roll around in the soft scented flowers.

On a slightly different note, yesterday I took a trip to Tredegar House in Newport (an absolutely astonishing Georgian mansion) to discuss organizing a fashion shoot there. And in their Brewery, I discovered this amazing drink: Victorian Lemonade from Fentimans. If you ever spot one in a shop, you must give it a try!

And despite the moody weather, today has made me happy, with the postman taking trips to our house with parcels for me, among which my copy of The Easy Dreaming photography book and this Art Deco / Art Nouveau prettifulness from Forever 21.

I leave you there for today. Do not forget the Giveaway, there is still time. Off I run now, back to the real world of working adults. No rest for the wicked (lady)!
